Last week, we experienced another spring equinox. 🌸
Spring always comes with a promise: that things can begin again. That what looked like stillness was actually preparation. That we’re allowed to begin again, too.
Every year, when the days start getting longer and the weather finally starts to shift, I notice people begin to hope out loud again. I do too. I see it in Instagram captions, in fresh affirmations. The energy feels different. We want more for ourselves.
It’s beautiful.
But I started thinking about how many people might not get to experience all they’re hoping to experience.
The seasons can shift. The sun can return. The flowers can bloom. But will we choose to meet this season differently?
Because nothing changes unless we do.
We have to pay attention to the habits, thoughts, and choices that keep us in the same place. And decide that we’re willing to move. To make new choices.
It’s hard to take ownership of the part we’ve played in creating our current reality. But doing so will empower us.
The promise of spring isn’t that everything will magically be better. The promise is that everything can be, if we’re willing to do the inner tending.
So as the trees start slowly blooming, ask yourself:
What am I still clinging to that I know needs to be released?
What small choice could create a big shift in how I feel?
What part of me is waking up again and how can I support it?

A little more.
Some of you have been with me since I started sharing weekly wellness tips and I always knew I wanted to do something more with those tips because of how deeply they resonated with you. And after sitting with it for a long while, I realized: this needed to be a guided book. A space where those reflections could live, expand, and support you across an entire year.
Naming it wasn’t easy. For a while, we considered just calling it a “wellness journal.” But in reality the content is 85% written content, it's a book! :) And the word Rooted kept coming to me, over and over again. It also felt aligned with Calmly Blooming like its next chapter. Shoutout to my friend Mai for encouraging the name and suggesting we shift from wellness (which can feel so bland and overused) to well-being because that’s what this really is about.
The design process was just as intentional. I had the joy of working with Marlene, a brilliant designer from Mexico City. When I interviewed her, she asked me what word I would give this project and in that moment, I knew she understood the heart of it. Everything from cover to layout was designed with care and soul.
I'll be walking you through the book in more detail in my next post, but for now… the book is ready. If you feel called to bring more presence, alignment, and intention into your life this is for you.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me 🤎
